Cluster-flowered cotoneaster

Cotoneaster racemiflorus

Back to catalogue

Family Rosaceae. It is a shrub up to 3 m tall, with small bluish-green leaves.

Young shoots and leaves are covered on the underside with dense white-woolly pubescence. Small flowers of white-pink color are gathered in inflorescences of 7-12 flowers, covering the whole shrub in May. The first flowering occurs at 4 years of age. In August, when the numerous fruits of elliptical or spherical shape ripen to a bright red color, the shrub becomes even more decorative. The fruits do not fall after leaf drop and remain on the shrub until the first snow.
