Family Agavaceae. Native to New Zealand. Grown as a houseplant, or more precisely as a greenhouse plant, is the species - Коринокарпус гладкий - Corynocarpus laevigatus - an evergreen shrub, fairly easy to grow with oblong-elongated leathery leaves on elongated petioles, producing whitish inconspicuous inflorescences when flowering.

In indoor conditions it reaches on average 1.5 - 2 metres in height. Like most houseplants it does not like drafts.
