Appearance: broadly rounded, 2-3 m tall, 2-3 m wide, forms thickets, fast-growing.
Bark: yellow in winter and spring, yellow-green in summer.
Flowers: cream-colored umbel-like inflorescences.
Leaves: pointed, oval, green.
Root system: shallow, persistent, produces suckers.
Requirements: undemanding, suitable for urban conditions.
Soils: on any non-dry soil, likes moisture, tolerates excessive moisture.
Note: every few years it should be cut back to the ground to restore color.
