Family Derbennikovye. Origin - South America. About 200 species are known in the wild.
Blechnum gibbum - in the wild this is a large palm-like plant with fronds reaching up to 1 m in length. The fern stem is a modified rhizome; in older plants kept indoors it reaches about 50 cm in height and is covered with brown scales. Its fronds are once-pinnately divided, about 50–60 cm long, light green in color. Sporangia are on the underside of the leaf, nearer the edge of the segments.
