Asystasia gangetica (gangetica)

Family Acanthaceae.

It is widely distributed in tropical Asia and southern Africa. It is used in landscaping of gardens and parks in the tropical zone. It has beautiful flowers that are white or cream, purple or blue; the veins may be white or purple. The leaves are used by local people as a salad.
