Family Aspleniaceae. Terrestrial perennial rosette-forming plant.

Leaves short-petiolate, twice- to four-times pinnate, 40–60 cm long, 15–20 cm wide. Segments very narrow, linear to almost filiform, 0.5–1 cm long, 1 mm wide. Sori are located along the margin of the segments. On the upper surface of the leaves viviparous buds develop, which germinate on the mother plant. When they fall to the ground, they take root. Native range - Madagascar, the Mascarene Islands.
