Family Araceae. A somewhat unusual rather than attractive plant up to 90 cm tall. Leaves reach 20 cm in length, divided into segments.

Leaf petioles and fleshy stems have brown spots, which give them the appearance of snake skin. An inflorescence appears at the top of each stem from the beginning of summer. The spathe with a wavy margin reaches 45 cm in length. On the outside it is pale green, inside - purple-maroon. The dark purple spadix is the same length as the spathe.
