Family kremovikh. Occurs in moist forests in the upper montane and subalpine belts in southwestern Canada and the northwestern United States, from British Columbia to the states of Washington and Idaho. Local name - "Baker's Star Tulip" (Baker's star tulip).

Stem 20-50 cm tall, sinuous. Basal leaf one, flat, linear, 15-30 cm long and 0.7-2 cm wide; cauline leaves 2.5-8 cm long. Flowers 1-9, they are tiroko-bell-shaped, erect. Sepals greenish-white, 1.5-2.25 cm long. Petals straw-yellow, 2-2.5 cm long, sometimes with purple streaks, rarely hairy. The glandular pit without scales, densely hairy. Anthers straw-yellow, strongly pointed, equal in length to the filaments, 0.6-1 cm long. Capsule nodding, narrowly oblong, 2-4 cm long.

One of the few species of this genus suitable for cultivation in a warm-temperate climate.
