Orange Alstroemeria

Family Alstroemeriaceae. Native range - the mountainous regions of Chile.

Perennial plant with tuberous thickened roots. Leaves alternate, thin, linear-lanceolate, up to 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, glaucous beneath, with short petioles, under the inflorescence gathered into a whorl. Flowers golden-orange, gathered 10-30 in an umbel-like raceme. Blooms from June to October.
