Flowers: Inconspicuous, dioecious.
Fruits: Not very attractive.
Leaves: Imparipinnate, 3-5 leaflets, bright yellow.
Root system: Shallow, slow-growing, relatively sensitive.
Requirements: Sun/partial shade; prone to frost damage in severe frosts; tolerant of urban conditions; a sheltered location should be chosen.
Soils: Undemanding; fresh, neutral.
Note: Responds well to pruning.
