Shrub, 2.5-3 m tall and 2-3 m wide; asymmetrical rounded crown; fast-growing, 40-60 cm per year.

Flowers: Inconspicuous, dioecious.

Fruits: Not very ornamental.

Leaves: Odd-pinnate, 3-5 leaflets, light green with pink spots, yellowish-green in winter.

Root system: Shallow, slow-growing, relatively sensitive.

Requirements: Full sun/light partial shade; may be damaged by severe frosts; tolerant of urban conditions; choose a sheltered location.

Soil: Undemanding; fresh, neutral.

Note: Responds well to pruning.
