A. maxima Pall.
Family: Umbellifers. Native to the Caucasus.
A very ornamental, long-rhizomed compact plant 40-70 cm tall with three-lobed leaves. The flowers are small, pink, gathered in simple umbels up to 4.5 cm in diameter. The bracts of the flower's involucre are membranous, slightly reddish, about 1 cm long. Blooms in August - September.
