Family Saxifragaceae. Native to Northeastern China and Korea.

Perennial herbaceous plant up to 60 cm tall, completely covered with brown hairs. Leaves light green, wrinkled. It has very beautiful, slightly nodding inflorescences up to 25 cm long composed of densely arranged white-cream flowers. Blooms in July for 2-3 weeks. Produces fruit. In cultivation since 1904.
