Antholyza cunonia

Family Iridaceae. Originates from the Cape Province of South Africa.

Stem simple, 35-50 cm tall. Leaves 3-5, linear, 25-30 cm long. Flowers 4-6 in a lax spike, bright red, with very unequal lobes; tube about 2.5 cm long. Anthers reach the margins of the perianth. Seeds disc-shaped, winged. Corm small, rounded.
