Deciduous trees
Purple-leaved sycamore maple
Рsevdoplatanus 'Atropurpureum'
Spaeth Nurseries, Berlin, 1883. A fast-growing cultivar, it reaches 20–30 m in height and 12–15 m in width; it forms a broad conical crown. Blunt, 5-lobed leaves are red-brown when unfolding, later remain uniformly dark green through to autumn, and on the underside are deep red with a purple-violet bloom. Does not tolerate stagnant moisture or air pollution, but is a very frost-hardy and wind-resistant plant.
