Bright-red chestnut

It differs from A. carnea in having larger, bright-red inflorescences. Therefore it is rightfully the most beautiful of all red-flowering chestnuts. In other respects it has the same good qualities as they do, and it is also resistant to industrial air pollution. It reaches only about 15 m in height.
