Deciduous trees
Red maple 'Scanlon'
rubrum 'Scanlon'
E. N. Scanlon, 1955. A small, densely branched tree with a narrow columnar crown when young, which with growth becomes more conical. It grows to 10–12 m in height and 3–5 m in width. Leaves are 3–5-lobed, glossy, dark green, and in autumn turn orange-red or purple. A beautiful tree for solitary planting, in groups, and also for street plantings and in avenues.
