Lapina

This genus includes 8 species native to Asia Minor and the Near East, as well as to East Asia. They are impressive deciduous, often multi-stemmed trees with large, alternate, odd-pinnate leaves. They prefer heavy, moist soil above all. They are very winter-hardy.
