Cinquefoil

A genus occurring in temperate and cold zones, comprising more than 300 species, of which only one species, Р. fruticosa, is of importance to us. The variety of forms of P. fruticosa includes very low creeping forms as well as shrubs up to 1.50 m tall. It is excellent for freely growing, unpruned or pruned flowering hedges; also for planting on ridges or in groups.
