Norway maple 'Schwedleri'

Discovered in 1864 by C. N. Schwedler in Oberschlesien. Fast-growing, 15 (-20) m in height, a very valuable park and avenue tree. Shoots glossy burgundy. Leaves later dark green–red, in autumn copper-red. Extremely tolerant of urban climates. Prefers cultivated soil.
