Deciduous trees
Norway maple 'Autumn Blaze'
platanoides 'Autumn Blaze'
A fast-growing avenue tree (up to 15 m in height) with a straight trunk, upright scaffold branches and a relatively short, conical, ovoid-flattened crown. Distinctive features of this cultivar are numerous, bright yellow flowers (April) with a slightly sweet fragrance, as well as a striking golden-yellow autumn coloration that replaces the light green color of the leaves. It is very well suited as a tree for planting along streets, in parks and gardens. For growth it prefers sandy loam or humus-rich soil and sunny or partially shaded sites. It is considered frost-hardy and heat-tolerant.
