Mock-orange

A genus represented by 70 wild species in southern Europe, the Caucasus, from the Himalayas to East Asia and in North America. As a result of cultivation work begun by V. Lemoine in Nancy in 1850, many fine forms have arisen that differ from the wild species by a weaker habit and a greater number of flowers.
