A broadly columnar tree (10–15 m tall) with an unbranched trunk to the tree's apex or forked at a great height; lateral branches are strictly vertical, unevenly wavy-twisted; later, the branches at the top arch and hang down. Leaves are like those of other members of the species, but they fall very late.
