Shrubby chestnut

Southeastern United States. A profusely flowering shrub reaching 4 (−6) m in height, about twice as wide as it is tall, with attractive pyramidal white panicles 20–30 cm long that abundantly cover the plant from July to August. Quite resistant to industrial atmospheric pollution.
