Red fan-shaped maple

An upright, medium-growing tree-like shrub, reaching 3-4 m in height. The leaves are 7-lobed and fairly deeply divided. The leaf petioles and young shoots are red in color. The very beautiful bright red leaf coloration persists into autumn. In summer, in partial shade, the leaves acquire a reddish-green tint. Prefers sunny or partly shaded sites, as well as well-drained, cultivated, moist, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
