Back to catalogue
Grows very slowly, very low-growing, almost hemispherical, reaching no more than 2 m in height and even more in width. Leaves are 5–7-lobed, divided almost to the base, with coarsely serrated, deeply cut, very narrow lobes. The intense red coloration in autumn becomes even more pronounced and turns fiery red. A very well-known and exceptionally valuable plant for rock gardens. Requires cultivated, slightly acidic soil.
