Deciduous trees
Yellow-leaved palmate maple
palmatum 'Aureum'
Nicholson, 1881. An upright, bushy habit, 3-5 m in height and up to 4 m in width. Leaves are fairly small, 5-7-lobed, 5-7 cm wide; individual lobes slightly toothed. Leaves are an intense golden-yellow color, especially when unfolding, with slightly reddish-brown edges; in summer they also retain a bright golden color, except that the leaves inside the shrub become somewhat greener. In autumn the leaves are especially bright golden-yellow. Preferably planted in sunny locations with well-moistened, humus-rich, slightly acidic, well-draining soil.
