Сotoneaster ‘Adpressus Bois’

Back to catalogue

Occurs in Greenland, from North America to Alaska, on acidic forest and bog soils. A groundcover shrub, 10–20 cm tall. Leaves whorled, ovate, 2–4 cm long; shoots readily root when in contact with the ground and it has a high growth rate. It has very abundant flowering; flowers are solitary, white, up to 2.5 cm in diameter.

Has red fruits (not poisonous). It has a very important advantage — this shrub is completely shade-tolerant. Prefers fairly moist soil, performs poorly on sandy soils. Ideal habitats are slopes and under the tree canopy.
