Tree hazel, bear hazel

Occurs in Eastern Europe and Asia Minor. A magnificent, slow-growing tree 18–20 m in height and 8–12 (–15) m in width with an evenly broad, low-spreading or ovoid crown resembling Tilia, and a single trunk.
