Red field maple

Slow-growing, very picturesque, spreading tree, 5 (-8) m in height, shade-tolerant, which is excellent for specimen planting. Leaves similar to those of А. campestre, 8-12 cm wide, heart-shaped and glossy olive-green. Magnificent dark red shoots. Young branches yellow; flowers yellowish-green in May. Fruits 3 cm long with horizontal wings.
