Panicled Koelreuteria, soap tree

China, Korea, Japan. In its native range up to 10 m, here only 6–8 m in height, a very conspicuous tree. After the flowers, from July to August, magnificent rare yellow panicles, up to 30 cm long, produce a special effect when the tree stands against a dark background.
