Medicinal winter jasmine

Jasminum L. nudiflorum

Back to catalogue

Native to China. Reaching 5 m in height, tolerant of industrial air pollution, an early-flowering clinging climber with slender drooping four-angled green branches. Solitary golden-yellow axillary flowers appear, depending on the weather, from February to April on last year's shoots. The most valuable flowering plant for the pre-spring period, it prefers a well-drained, slightly acidic soil in a warm, sunny, sheltered position. Best suited for walls and trellises, it is mainly planted on the south side. In December, pruned branches can serve as a beautiful indoor decoration.
