Witch-hazel, magic nut

A tree-like or shrub-like genus, six species of which are found in North America and East Asia, is truly valued for its flowering period from October through March/April. To bring out the bright colors, the slightly sweet fragrance of the flowers and their unusual shape, they should be planted in gardens and near the house, as close to a window as possible.
