Half bamboo

Native to the Americas and Asia. A very fast-growing, evergreen species reaching 3–5 m in height. Narrow leaves on tubular, glossy crimson stems. Requires a sunny, warm site to mature well in autumn and to leaf out on time in spring. Especially suitable for solitary planting and shoreline landscaping.
