Western North America. A valuable, up to 3 m tall, small-leaved, summer-flowering plant with long drooping branches. Decorative panicles appear in July, creamy-white, up to 25 cm in length and width. They do not fall until winter and are especially beautiful during hoarfrost. A very decorative shrub both when grown alone and in groups. Undemanding with respect to soil.
