Back to catalogue

Dwarf cultivar, bred by selection in 1959 in America; a shrub broadly bushy, somewhat globular, branches lie on the ground, take root and thereby spread; height up to 75 cm; leaves deciduous, 6-8 cm long, ovate or lanceolate, slightly convex.

The form is low-growing, with a spreading crown. Shoots arch toward the ground and root easily, having a beautiful brick hue. Oval bright-green leaves in autumn turn all shades of yellow, orange, and red. Flowering begins in summer and continues until November, the greenish flowers give way to white fruits.

A slow-growing, shade-tolerant form, it performs well on moist, fertile soils. Withstands urban conditions – resistant to smoke and air pollution. Thanks to its rooting ability, it is especially suitable for greening monotonous surfaces.
