Clerodendrum

More than 150 species in the tropics and subtropics, but in unprotected ground only 2 species can be used. Deciduous shrubs or small trees, with simple, opposite leaves that emit an unpleasant odor when crushed. Tubular flowers are fragrant and produce fleshy, round fruits of bright colors.
