Rejuvenating a violet
Violet rosettes require mandatory rejuvenation every 2–3 years; during that time the rosette develops a bare stem. Rejuvenation is carried out by cutting off the upper part of the rosette (the crown) and re-rooting it in water. When rejuvenating, new roots form fairly quickly. The simplest way to restore a violet is to plant it deeper, cleaning the bare stem with the blunt side of a knife.
