Pubescence of glandular hairs. Usually recognized by thickenings on the hairs. Glandular hairs (glandular trichomes, glands) are unicellular or multicellular outgrowths or hairs on leaves, stems, flowers and fruits that produce, concentrate and secrete various chemical substances, for example, essential oils.
