Commercial, industrial cultivar

A cultivar of Saintpaulias, grown in large quantities most often on Dutch and German farms for mass sale. Used by designers for interior decoration, but due to the use of hydroculture during cultivation it retains its decorative appearance for only a short time (a few months), after which it must be replaced. When propagated by leaf cuttings, the coloration often does not reproduce.
